On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we look at the first two chapters of Numbers. We talk about the first census (in this book). We discuss what the reason for the census was and what the result was. How many fighting men did Israel have really? Near the end we also start to see the first preparations for the Nation's departure from Sinai, i.e. marching order and the arrangement of the camp.

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace podcast we wrap up the book of Leviticus! We learn about the Sabbath year and the year of Jubilee. We discuss what these times were and what occurred (or lack thereof) during these set apart years. We talk about redemption of property, and this leads us into a discussion about having kindness for your brother and neighbor. We learn what the blessings and punishments were for being obedient and disobedient to God's laws and commands. We end this long journey with the final chapter on vows and dedications! 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we discuss the specific days and Feasts that God put into place for the Israelites. This included the Sabbath, the Passover, the Feast of Firstfruits, the Feast of Weeks, the Feast of Trumpets, and the Day of Atonement. We talk about the Light of Christ and blaspheming God's name. At the end of these chapters, we discuss "eye for an eye". 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we read the laws/rules that God had put in place for the priests. The people of Israel recieved their laws in the last several chapters, now it is the priests turn. We discuss what God declared made a person unable to fulfill a priestly role and what that meant for them. Then we recieve the laws/rules for the animals that can be sacrificed. 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we continue to discuss God's laws. These included some laws about not mixing seeds, laws of the first fruits, laws about hair trimming and tattoos too. We discuss mediums and playing around with the supernatural. This leads to some interesting conversation! We end the episode with reading and discussion of what the punishments for breaking these laws are.

We also read and talk about child sacrifice. We discuss the Lord's holiness and what it takes to truly love your neighbor as yourself. We end this episode sooner than planned and have quite a lengthy discussion about holding grudges. 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we discuss the Day of Atonement. We look at the high priest's role and everything he needed to do to prepare himself. We then discuss the ceremony for the atoning of the Israelite people. We touch on goat demons and discuss (again) why eating blood is forbidden.

We discuss the plethora of skin conditions that would make a person unclean, and the steps that must be taken to become clean again. We talk about bodily fluids and how they make a person unclean.
