In dieser Ausgabe der METIS Wisdom Talks widmen wir uns der Lehre des Wegs, dem Daoismus. Dies ist eine chinesische Denk- und Lebensrichtung, die sich über die Philosophen Laozi und Zhuangzi bereits weit über die Regionen Südostasiens hinaus in die Welt verbreitet hat.
Frederike Maas und Michael Hampe sprechen mit Kai Marchal von der National Cheng Chi University (Taipeh) über die beiden Hauptwerke des Daoismus (Daodejing & Zhuangzi) und deren Wirkung auf das Leben von Daoistinnen und Daoisten. Was ist eigentlich das Dao, von dem dort die Rede ist? Wo kann ich es finden? Muss ich es überhaupt suchen?
Im Daoismus fallen  Parallelen zur europäischen Skepsis ins Auge, nach der man sich für ein gelingendes Leben möglichst befreien sollte von abhängig machenden Behauptungen und nicht einlösbaren Wissensansprüchen.

In this edition of METIS Wisdom Talks we focus on the teaching of the Way, Daoism. This is a Chinese way of thinking and living, which has already spread far beyond the regions of Southeast Asia into the world through the philosophers Laozi and Zhuangzi.
Frederike Maas and Michael Hampe talk with Kai Marchal from the National Cheng Chi University (Taipei) about the two main works of Daoism (Daodejing & Zhuangzi) and their impact on the lives of Daoists. What actually is the Dao that is talked about there? Where can I find it? Do I have to search for it at all?
In Daoism, parallels to European skepticism stand out, according to which one should free oneself as much as possible from dependency-creating claims and irredeemable knowledge claims for a successful life.
