The CPSC and Alliance Chemical announce the recall of Alliance Chemical Sodium Hydroxide.  This product contains a caustic poisons and must be sold in child-proof container.  The label on the products omits the word POISON. The caustic soda flakes in this container can burn on contact and if swallowed by a child will cause devastating damage to the mouth, throat, esophagus, and gastrointestinal tract.  About 960 containers of this product were sold online at Alliancechemical.com, Amazon.com and eBay.com.  Immediately store these products in a safe place away from children.  Contact Alliance Chemical at 1-512-365-6838 or online at alliancechemical.com for a free child-resistant replacement bottle and new labelling.
