Hold Up, Let Me Call My Sis

Allow Us To Introduce Ourselves

Listen Later

Hold Up, Let Me Call My Sis is what happens when two sisters - LaMia Radiant and T Jamaica Pogue - pick up the phone and let the conversation flow. We grew up in South Jersey, but with LaMia now in Atlanta and T in Philly, most of our catch-ups happen over the phone. And trust us, they often last for hours.

Our conversations are funny, raw, and sometimes unexpectedly deep. We bounce between personal stories, pop culture, current events, and random musings about life. And with two distinct but complementary perspectives, things always stay interesting.

In this episode we bring you into a typical conversation we have, bouncing from talking about our current political climate to deconstructing and decolonizing our minds and taking a sharp left turn into being professional haters of "popular" musical artists.

Watcher & Dancer – “Of two sisters one is always the watcher, one the dancer.”

The title of this segment is inspired by the Louise Glück quote, this segment explores how we move through the world. While we both shift between roles, T leans into being the Watcher - analyzing patterns and putting things together - while LaMia, a literal dancer and artistic director, is more socially outgoing and ready to take the leap.

Hating & Loving – Our take on pop culture, current events, and all the things we love (or love to hate).
