It's time we classed up this podcast so on this edition of the 'Wasting Your Time' podcast it's all about Shakespeare but with a modern twist. Ally Stuart really wanted to talk about Romeo + Juliet so that is what we are doing today. The entire episode is about Baz Luhrmann's very divisive 1996 film which really was the kickoff to a bunch of Shakespeare films that were targeted towards a Teen audience. We discuss Luhrmann's very unique style, his very strong and also kind of dated cast. Plus the soundtrack which also goes off on a tangent about 1990's film soundtracks in general. And the pro's about setting Shakespeare in a modern setting in order to reach a audience that otherwise just would not take to the source material. It's a very classy show for once so I hope you enjoy the show.
