The Bible tells us that angels are personal spiritual beings who have will (Luke 8:28-31; 2 Timothy 2:26; Jude 6), intelligence (Matthew 8:29; 2 Corinthians 11:3; 1 Peter 1:12), and even emotions. Many of us may not have the chance to see these spiritual beings while we walk on earth, but the Bible is clear…they exist.
Even if they are considered spiritual beings, which means they don’t have any physical bodies, it is clear that angels have personalities. And it’s important for us Christians to understand how they were described in the Bible. This will give us guidance on how we should react to testimonies, questions, and even encounters.
One thing to know about angles is that they have incredible knowledge – greater than human beings. However, it’s also important to know that their knowledge is limited and that GOD is still supreme above all. Angels were created as an order of creatures higher than humans. Hence, they innately possess greater knowledge. Moreover, angels study the Bible and the world more thoroughly than humans do and gain knowledge from it (James 2:19; Revelation 12:12).
As mentioned earlier, angels have wills, angels, like all creatures, are subject to the will of God. Good angels are sent by God to help believers (Hebrews 1:14). But there are also bad angels or fallen angels and they are called demons, which was mentioned in Revelation 12:9.
When Satan fell took some of the angels with him—one-third of them, according to Revelation 12:4. Jude 6 also mentions angels who sinned. According to the Bible, demons are fallen angels who, along with Satan, chose to rebel against God.
In this episode, we will talk more about angels and demons. The Bible will be our light to guide us on how we can understand these spiritual beings. As a result, I am confident that this will help you grow into Christ and His Word.
Have a wonderful day!
