Blessed Day You Ministries, Family! It’s no secret, doubt is an experience common to all humans – Christians included. We struggle with doubt from time to time. In fact, one of the apostles stated in the Book of Mark, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” And if we let doubt overcome us, things here on earth will become more difficult. Doubt is the lack of confidence or to consider unlikely. We read in Genesis 3, the very first expression of doubt when Satan tempted Eve. The commandment of the LORD is very clear, which is “not to eat of any tree in the garden”, yet Eve’s lack of confidence in God’s command leads to mankind’s punishment. So fam….how can we overcome doubt? The simple remedy of our doubt is faith and we all know that faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). I believe that this podcast episode can help you not only overcome doubt but can also strengthen your faith. May this podcast remind you of Psalms 77:11, which says, “I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago”. We can all agree that the most popular doubter in the Bible was Thomas, who declared that he would not believe that the Lord was resurrected unless he could see and touch Jesus himself – we can read this in John 20:25-28. When Thomas later saw our Lord and Savior and believed, the apostle received the gentle rebuke, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” We can have confidence even in the things we cannot see because God has proven Himself faithful, true, and able.
