All of us have been disappointed at one point or another in our lives. Where we believe the thing we've been hoping and praying for is soon to come to pass just to come to the realization it's not... and so the wait continues. In these moments we have choices to make, do we run from or towards God, do we become more dependent on Him or ourselves, or do we act like we don't care as much as we do. What's your choice?

Exodus 16:15 (NIV) tells us, "When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, 'What is it?' For they did not know what it was." 

Isn't it interesting how often in our lives we may ask ourselves and one another, what is this,  just like the Israelites? Sometimes, we miss the hand of the Lord at work simply because it appears unfamiliar or doesn't align with our expectations. 

But here's a thought: perhaps God purposely shows up in these unexpected ways, challenging our perceptions and pushing us to depend on and seek Him more. In those moments, we're invited to discover the fullness of who He is.
