Hi guys! I'm so excited that you're here for another episode of Alone Time. Today I'm getting real vulnerable and sharing about my current relapse with OCD. If you've ever struggled with OCD or anything mental health wise, this episode will probably resonate with you. If not, then you'll just have more insight into the way my mind works (unfortunately) LOL. I recently listened to a church service that talked about how to not live in fear, and I feel like it was really something that I needed to hear. So for today's episode I thought I’d share some of the notes I took from that service in hopes it may be encouraging for someone else out there.

This week I'm answering all of your questions about postpartum. The good, the bad, and the ugly! I feel like I joined a secret club after having a baby. It's been quite the wild ride both physically and emotionally these last few months. I'm hoping this episode will bring comfort and relatability to any other new mamas out there or mamas-to-be. There's so many ups and downs when it comes postpartum and I find it therapeutic to talk about them all. Remember that everyones journey and experience with this time period is different, and that's what makes it so special, even on the hard days.

Here it is! An open and honest episode about why I personally decided to leave the wedding industry. As with most things that come to an end, it's bittersweet. There are things I will miss about photographing weddings of course, but also a lot of things I'm relieved to say goodbye to. Ultimately, I'm just very appreciative of the amazing wedding clients I've had the pleasure of working with throughout my time in the industry. They are the reason I kept at it for as long as I did. It's a tough job, and I think SO highly of anyone who decides to put themselves out there in the wedding industry.

We are officially one month into this whole parenting thing and we're running on baby cuddles & caffeine! My husband, Jeremy, is back on the podcast today and we're chatting all about this new season of life together. Adjusting to a new "routine" with a newborn hasn't been exactly easy, but we're sharing all of our thoughts on some of the things we've experienced so far. As newbies to the mom & dad life, we still have a lot to learn, but we're so excited for all of the special moments ahead.

She’s here!!! Sorry for being a little MIA on the podcast… but I was busy giving BIRTH! lol and for this episode, I wanted to give you guys the full story.  Baby girl decided to make her appearance a couple of weeks early, and we’ve been just living in the little newborn bubble trying to figure everything out these last couple weeks. My birth experience definitely didn’t go exactly how I would have hoped, BUT overall I would say it was a pretty positive experience. I never want to forget exactly how everything went, so I figured recording this episode while everything is still fresh in my mind would be a good idea. It's almost February! Which means.... most of us probably don't have a lot going on at the moment. Perfect time to get a head start on that spring cleaning and organizing! Currently, at 9 months pregnant, I am in full blown nesting mode which means I'm decluttering everythinggg and trying to get a good head start on things before baby arrives. Since this topic is front of mind - I thought I'd share with you guys what's been helpful for me lately in tackling these ever so tedious tasks. As we get closer and closer to my due date, this pregnancy continues to surprise me every day lol. Between the odd pregnancy symptoms, sleepless nights, and feelings/emotions all over the place, the third trimester has been quite the journey! In this episode, I'm sharing all of my thoughts on being pregnant and becoming a first time mom. I hope that if anything this episode will just remind you that we're all just out here doing our best. Pregnancy is such a beautiful, hard, and unique experience for everyone, and it's something to be proud of no matter what it looks like for you.
