Psychology determines the Alpha as the one who exerts power and influence through their ability to take charge of the conversation, while the Beta will tend to listen and support. An Alpha may be also seen as too confrontational and a  Beta as too passive. Are these true characteristics of human development or are the two personalities constructed from societal norms.
