【Alstroemeria Records】Out of Focus「miketama」
RIO: And now for an original arrange by Masayoshi-san from the semi-recent album; SALVAGE DANCEHALL! As far as I’m aware it’s not based upon any Touhou related themes, certainly none I can pick up on from my sometimes terrible judgement, so this is ‘technically’ the first non-Touhou song I’ve uploaded in well over a year! Well, it features on a Touhou related album so make of that what you will...
Since Youmu is the face of the SALVAGE DANCEHALL album, I decided that using a graphic of her was the most appropriate thing that I could use, that may be the recurring theme if I ever have another similar situation to this again with other albums. SALVAGE DANCEHALL has another two original songs to boot so it’ll likely be a problem, albeit small, that I’ll have to encounter again...
I had to shorten the length of the song itself as a major problem you often encounter with Alstroemeria Records tracks is that a lot of the albums blend the songs together whenever they transition to the next track, so picking out songs for solo releases like this one can get a bit messy. I shaved off about 30 secs from the start of this just so it sounded more authentic as a stand-alone release.
I love the build up on this one, I can see some people disliking the drop as I wasn’t too into it when I first heard it, I have grown to like it more over time. A fair bit of Alstroemeria Records discography can be rather subjective, in particular the more modern releases, I personally still enjoy a fair bit of their modern work, but I’d be lying if I said that I enjoyed it all. As long as they’re actively making more music for my little old ears to tune into, then I’m absolutely fine with whatever they produce!
Enough rambling, people must think I’m devoid of human contact with the amount of nonsensical rubbish I type in these descriptions, and you’re just as insane for reading this far! (・Д・)
