After Abraham finaly settled in the promised land and leaves Egypt behind he goes through numerous family struggles, battles and makes a bad decision of having a son with Hagar. God doesn't speak wiith him for 13 years but at Mamre the covenant is renewed and expanded. His name was changed from Abram to Abraham and he receives new identity. We also receive new identities in Christ!
