Making The Leap

Alternative Learning for Children with The Tuttle Twins

Listen Later

Christine and Chris begin today's episode discussing mental health and how education might impact the alarming statistics we see in children today. They mention some specific scenarios where increased pressure on students can easily lead to mental health issues, and how a Christ-centered education might help.

The Stigalls are joined by Connor Boyak, founder of the Libertas Institute and author of the Tuttle Twins series of children's books. Connor shares his reasons for starting to write books for children and how the pandemic accelerated the project.

Connor also discusses the current state of public education and how books like the Tuttle Twin series are needed to create a firm educational foundation outside the government school system. They focus on how American history and civics is currently being taught and how we should be focusing on the substantive over the superficial.
