Powerful Women: Off The Record

Althea Luehrsen | Self Awareness, Growth and Mentorship

Listen Later

In this episode of Powerful Women: Off the Record, leadership coach and executive advisor Althea shares a candid and deeply grounded conversation about authenticity, resilience, leadership, and trusting your inner voice. Drawing from decades of experience navigating corporate leadership, single motherhood, higher education, entrepreneurship, and executive coaching, Althea reflects on the moments that shaped her path—and the lessons she now helps others uncover in themselves.

She opens up about learning to trust her intuition, why self-awareness is one of the most powerful leadership tools we have, and how personality assessments can help people better understand both their strengths and blind spots.

Throughout the conversation, Althea shares wisdom on:

• Leadership, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence

• Why authenticity matters more than perfection

• The power of mentorship and helping other women rise

• Building a life that balances ambition, joy, family, and purpose

• Learning to embrace mistakes as part of growth

From working her way through school later in life to becoming a respected leadership coach and community leader, Althea’s story is a reminder that success is rarely linear—and that some of the most powerful transformations happen when we finally trust ourselves enough to pivot.
