In this Alumni Spotlight episode, Susan speaks with Byron Campbell ('05), Senior Partner at Capitol Insights, a legislative and business consulting practice. Byron assists the Alumni Association with UNT's Day at the Capitol, a program that connects the university's students with state lawmakers in Austin each legislative session. As Byron explains to Susan, this new initiative not only provides students with a real-world civics lesson, it allows state lawmakers to hear directly from the students who will be impacted by their decisions. After discussing how the program is being adapted for the current legislative session, which is taking place during the pandemic, Byron shares his goals for the future growth of this initiative.
