Every day I am allowing Christ to overcome my pride, self-importance and self-reliance.
(2 Cor. 10:5. “Take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”)
Bottom line: Every day I am allowing Christ’s will to overcome my will.
Think for a minute about how many dangerous thoughts can bombard your mind in just one hour.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
This battle takes place in the mind.
What is a “stronghold?”
We can demolish those strongholds and Paul the Apostle tells us how.
“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Cor. 10:5)
Here’s the big question: How?
Three practical principles for taking down strongholds:
1. You can’t __________ everything you ____________.
(see Jeremiah 17:9)
2. You need to _________ your mind from _______________.
(see Proverbs 15:14)
Just because you can do a thing doesn’t mean you ___________ do a thing.
Sometimes the reason we _______ like garbage is because we’re _____________ on garbage.
Philippians 4:6-7:
Continual ____________________ prayer.
3. Share your ____________ with other __________________.
(And) “I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake.” (Philemon 1:6, NASB)
