As a foreign firefighter you will live as a civilian. You will learn quickly about language and cultural differences very quickly. But the experience is enchanting. I highly recommend Colombia in this podcast.

Hi I am Lance Thrower. I am a firefighter and an engineer. I design and build prototype wild land fire trucks and buggies out of parts we find anywhere. With a strong leaning into robotics and Ai in combating fires. Our mission is to travel to Fire Departments in Latin America. We learn how they handle urban firefighting and my specialty, wild land forestry. And we see where we can help their department too.
