It is very popular and only started June 8, 2013 it is described as a subreddit what is a subreddit? a specific thread in the community anyone answering to a subreddit is an indicator the user is a member of the subreddits community and is participating in the discussion within the community. This past October it is documented their are 12million subscribers to date. (this is for the r/AITA thread only).
