Amanda Aldridge was a prolific pianist, composer, instructor, & vocalist.  Often releasing music under the pseudonym Montague Ring, she was influenced by a diverse array of rhythms & genres, becoming immensely popular for her romantic parlor music.

Jeanne de Clisson was a pirate in the 1300s who terrorized France by land & by sea.  Known as the Lionness of Brittany, she sailed in her flagship "My Revenge" & survived 4 marriages, the births of her 7 children, & the Black Plague.
