At 21 years old, Amanda was diagnosed with Cancer. Forced to suddenly put her life on hold, Amanda had to come to grips with a new and frightening situation.  Through her journey, she slowly became aware of the power of the Neshama- Jewish soul- and witnessed daily how much light can come from  a seemingly dark place. Over a decade later, Amanda is a proud observant Jewish women, passionate about empowering others.   What you will hear in this episode: - Amanda talks about having a childhood where she lacked for nothing yet she always felt like she was missing something. At 17 years old, her friend passed away in  a car accident and that was the catalyst for Amanda taking her spiritual search to a new level. It was at the March of the Living that Amanda met Rabbi Pinny Gniwisch who changed her life forever. Amanda describes her first interaction with Rabbi Pinny  as having an Oprah “aha” moment.   - At 21 Amanda was diagnosed with cancer and her first intuition was to call Rabbi Pinny. She spent Shabbat with his family and started keeping Shabbat from there on. During her ordeal Amanda kept asking herself what is my purpose in all of this? She started an organization called "Live, Laugh and Learn" raising money and bringing hope to other Cancer patients.  - As a  proudly observant wife and mother, Amanda travels all over the world sharing her incredible story and inspiring many women.
