Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  With ever more competition in the video streaming space….Amazon has opened its wallet to buy MGM for a little under 8 and a half billion dollars.  The move will give Amazon access to the library of MGM films  …think James Bond and Rocky…a variety of new films in the works…including a new Bond film…No Time to Die...and perhaps lesser known…the MGM television studio.  It has properties that include The Handmaid’s Tale, The Voice, Shark Tank and more.  The move comes at a time when Disney Plus, Paramount Plus, HBO Max and of course Netflix…are competing to win subscriptions from viewers.  One Amazon advantage…Prime is more than just a video streaming service…it offers benefits to shoppers at Amazon and the company owned Whole Foods…and more.
