On one side of the company, Amazon MGM Studios released free, official 3D print files for Rocky from Project Hail Mary — letting fans build and celebrate the film for nothing.

On the other side, MGM had a law firm get the word "Stargate" blocked from search on one of the largest 3D printing platforms on the internet. Not a file. Not a model. The word itself.

Same parent company. Two completely different relationships with the people who love their films enough to print them.

This is the story of how one studio attacked the very community it was just celebrating.
