Remember bloomers?  They were invented by social activist Amelia Bloomer, who also was a fierce advocate of women’s rights & even introduced Elizabeth Cady Stanton to Susan B. Anthony.  #girlsquad

While technically not eligible, Victoria Woodhull was the first woman to run for president of the United States in 1872.  She’s also known for opening the first woman-run brokerage firm and publishing a wildly popular newspaper, & that’s just the first 34 years of her life.
