The Greg SCHREFFLER Show™

America 250 e1

Listen Later

Why do we celebrate anniversaries?

Is it because everything was perfect? Of course not. We celebrate them because they're milestones; moments to reflect on where we've been, what we've endured, what we've overcome, and how those experiences shaped who we've become. Every challenge. Every sacrifice. Every victory. Every setback. They all become part of the story.story

As you know, America just marked its 250th anniversary. That’s at least 10 generations. Anyway, it’s a remarkable milestone. Not because America has been perfect, any more than you celebrating your anniversaries for perfection, but because for 250 years, generation after generation has inherited a nation built through sacrifice, conviction, courage, and perseverance. So maybe you’re asking what we’re celebrating. The same things you might celebrate in a wedding anniversary. So that means reflecting. Remembering.
