CEO and founder of Mission America Aaron Spradlin discusses human trafficking ahead of CPAC’s International Summit to Combat Human Trafficking with Mercedes Schlapp on this episode of America Uncanceled.
Spradlin was invited to speak at CPAC’s Summit to Combat Human Trafficking, hosted by CPAC’s new Center for Combating Human Trafficking, for his organization, Mission America’s, work to end trafficking. Spradlin is motivated to rescue the millions of children harmed, traumatized, and abused by this form of modern-day slavery, and often subjected to inhumane treatment right here in the United States, which the world’s largest consumer of human trafficking.
“We have to choke this off,” Spradlin states. “The biggest goal is the grassroots part of what we’re doing to open the eyes of the American people, let them know that this is a national problem, not just an international problem, and then, I want to see you rise up against it. One thing about this, the bad people on both sides of this is a minority number. There are a lot of massively powerful Christian, faith-based, God-loving, kingdom people that could crush this.”
Spradlin urges grassroots action by spreading awareness and parents teaching their children social media safety. He also urges border security measures including increased staff and border security agents and DNA testing for groups claiming family status to stop the movement of trafficking in and out of the country. CPAC’s Center for Combating Human Trafficking is joining Mission America in supporting these efforts to end modern-day slavery. The CPAC Center for Combating Human Trafficking is not only working to end trafficking but is also working to establish safe houses in the United States to care for the victims of this egregious system.
