It happened. We knew it would. The United States had it’s first confirmed case of Ebola show up in Dallas this week. The patient traveled from Liberia to see family in Texas. Did he bring a fruit basket and smiles to greet his family? No, he brought a special souvenir from Liberia…Ebola. The deadly virus that’s now confirmed to spread by airborne transmission.
The response by the CDC, the federal government and the President has been haphazard and irresponsible. On one hand, we’re told that if we wash our hands, we’ll be fine. On the other, the CDC is issuing guidelines to funeral homes on how to deal with the dead in the aftermath of an Ebola outbreak.
The White House says that “screening procedures” are in place at the borders? Really? James O’Keefe recently dressed as Osama Bin Laden and swam across the Rio Grande river border in Texas with zero response from law enforcement. They were no where to be seen.
Does the government want a pandemic to occur in America? Nothing could be worse for our country. Martial law, FEMA, city-wide quarantines and financial collapse are things that we don’t want to see. However, should a pandemic occur, the outcome would most likely include all of the above and worse.
