It’s Black History Month, so let’s look at America’s painfully predictable pattern of progress followed by white backlash. Fellow white people, repeat after me: racial justice is our problem, too. That’s the secret to the American experiment, and the only way to move past the wave of hate we’re in to continue making America into the truly multiracial democracy we know she can be.
