American Style Excuses – SEX now that I have your attention is Americans Blissfully Ignorant About the Second Coming of Christ: ignorance of the law in court is not a defense, so do not be ignorance about the second coming.
Do you know the law requires that almost every chemical or medicine sold in the United States be labeled for its contraindications or possible hazardous use? Why won’t people take a warning from God about the perils of ignoring his promise to return and judge the whole world? just asking
Do we rally know about the dangers of the covid vaccine/booster? I’m not advocating for nor against covid shot I just believe it should be a personal decision not the governments.
We should focus on the word of God more, not on the science of man. Science is defined as “the observation, identification, description, experimental investigation, and theoretical explanation of phenomena.” Science is a method that mankind can use to gain a greater understanding of the natural universe. It is a search for knowledge through observation. Advances in science demonstrate the reach of human logic and imagination. However, a Christian’s belief in science should never be like our belief in God. A Christian can have faith in God and respect for science, as long as we remember which is perfect and which is not.
Our belief in God is a belief of faith. We have faith in His Son for salvation, faith in His Word for instruction, and faith in His Holy Spirit for guidance. Our faith in God should be absolute, since when we put our faith in God, we depend on a perfect, omnipotent, omniscient Creator. Our belief in science should be intellectual and nothing more. We can count on science to do many great things, but we can also count on science to make lots of huge mistakes. If we put faith in science, we depend on imperfect, sinful, limited, mortal men. Science throughout history has been wrong about many things, such as the shape of the earth, powered flight, vaccines, blood transfusions, and even reproduction. God is never wrong.
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” - Mark 11:24
Belief. This is a very strong word. I also call it faith.
Faith is to believe what you do not see, the reward of faith is what you believe.
When I believe in something, it gives me the power to go forward, proceed and accomplish my goals. When I pray, I truly believe that I will get what I prayed for.
Have you ever prayed and truly believed you will receive it? It has a huge power!
Question:
Because Jesus said ...but of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. Mt 24:36, doesn’t that mean that we shouldn’t spend too much time learning about the second coming of Christ?
Answer:
To use this verse as an incentive to ignore second coming doctrine would he the same as using it as an excuse. And which many people do, in fact, we need only to go to the very next verse to see that is not what Christ was saying by any stretch of the imagination.... Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Mt 24:37. The keyword in this verse is watch, be on guard, and that implies an active and thoughtful pondering, perusing and studying the whole aspect of the promise of his return (JESUS). It is painfully obvious that Jesus did not expect us to stand around gazing into the sky all day looking for him on a white horse. The verb watch is active, and at the very least means to he aware of the full meaning of everything to do with his second coming.
We have all heard some preacher reminding us of how many times a subject is alluded to in scripture as a means of emphasizing the urgency or the validity of some particular Bible teaching. I have told others hundreds of times, just to note the times Jesus began a statement with, verily, verily. It clearly was a means of raising the seriousness of w
