Good sandwich bread is like a good football coach: Crusty on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, and covered in a thin layer of yeast that they just can't get rid of.
I'm not going to get clever with the description, as this is far too important a topic to trivialize. With the help of our listeners, we list off America's best sandwiches, both homemade and restaurant-created, and debate just what goes into a perfect sandwich. After recording this episode, my only goal in life now is to eat everything mentioned therein. May the cholesterol levels be forever in my favor.
