In this episode, Dr. Eddie Hyatt shows the influence of the Bible on the U.S. Constitution, particularly in two areas: (1) the division of the powers of government was based in their belief of original sin and the corruption of human nature and (2) the banning of aristocracy and honorific titles was based on the teachings of Jesus that His followers avoid aristocratic titles because "you are all brethren" (Matt. 23:6-12). They would agree with Sir John Acton who said, "Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
