Dr. Amr Hamzawy is a  political scientist who taught in Cairo, Egypt and Berlin, Germany and currently teaches political science at Stanford University in California. In 2011, he went back to Cairo and taught at the AUC. Dr. Hamzawy was a member of the Egyptian parliament in 2012 and a member of the National Council for Human Rights. He was the founding member of the Egyptian  National Democratic Party from which he split and founded the Freedom Egypt Party. He is also author of many books and articles on Egypt and the Middle East. This episode is in Arabic. 

ضيف الحلقة هو الدكتورعمرو حمزاوي وهو استاذ علوم سياسية بجامعة ستانفورد بكاليفورينا. وعضو سابق بمجلس الشعب المصري عن انتخابات 2012. وهو مؤسس ورئيس حزب مصر الحرية. وقد سبق له التدريس بجامعة برلين، كما شغل منصب كبير الباحثين لدراسات الشرق الأوسط بمؤسسة كارنيجي للسلام الدولي من عام 2005 وحتى 2009. تم تعيين حمزاوي في المجلس القومي لحقوق الإنسان 2011.وقد أعلن حمزاوي عن المشاركة في تأسيس الحزب المصري الديمقراطي الاجتماعي في نهاية مارس 2011 قبل أن ينفصل لإنشاء حزب مصر الحرية.
