Amsterdam is the most visited city I’ve ever lived in. I was also born there — and spent thirty years moving through six different neighbourhoods, from a working-class street in Banne 2 to a quiet apartment in Amsterdam Zuid.

In this first episode of The Wanderlust Sessions, I trace that journey: what each place gave me, what I left behind, and what Amsterdam taught me about where I come from. This isn’t a travel guide. It’s a portrait of a city that changes while you’re still watching.
