Amy Jo, author of Skinny to be Loved always struggled with love-self. She lost close family members and friends growing up, which led her to find comfort in food. By the time she was nine years old, she was a size 12 (US). Even after going through gastric bypass surgery and working with her trainer, it took her some time to realized that she would never be happy and find love, unless she loved herself first.
