SHORT BUT INFORMATION FILLED BOOK ABOUT AN AVERAGE ENGLISH FAMILY DURING WW II.

THIS BOOK WAS A NICE SURPRISE. SHORT BUT FILLED WITH HELPFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THE HOME FRONT DURING WW II. WRITTEN ABOUT AN AVERAGE BRITISH FAMILY, IT HELPED ME UNDERSTAND HOW THEY COPED WITH BOMBING, FOOD SHORTAGES, CLOTHES COUPONS AND CONCERNS ABOUT LOVED ONES AWAY FIGHTING THE WAR.

Quick but nice

This book is written in a diary format, and it is a quick, entertaining and easy read with nice WWII period detail. Fans of Maureen Lee will probably be somewhat "familiar" with a lot of the content but I think they will also enjoy the book as it has that comfortable "Maureen Lee" feel to it.
