The flags at the JackAm studios are flying at half mast today to recognize the loss of a very important woman in Cait’s life, Grandma Besse. In honor of this very special lady and her dazzling legacy, to those reading this I would ask that if you have parents/a parent that you’re on good terms with, and you have yet to call or text them this week, please take a moment and just do it! Your phone’s probably in your hand right now anyway, so what do you have to lose? Oh and while you’re at it, reach out to all those close friends you can’t live without, and don’t forget those siblings, who’ve done you no harm but you don’t talk to all that often. And for just a little while set aside your insecurities and just...speak up! Let those important ones in your life hear that you care for them! Too sentimental of an approach? Send a funny meme or something instead! Buy them something off their wishlist, surprise order their favorite food, Hell send them a link to this show! Just remind them in your own way that you’re out here and you appreciate having them in your life. And for those of us who have non-toxic relationships with their Grandparents: schedule a visit, or give them a call to chat! Why? Because sometimes it’s easy to forget that life is short, and the people in your life can only know you by how *you* express yourself to *them*, so why wait? Uncork your affection, get out there and express the fuck out of some love!
