In 1691, Scottish minister Robert Kirk wrote The Secret Commonwealth, a strange manuscript describing invisible beings that lived alongside us. The locals called them the Sith. Kirk believed some people could see them using a generic gift called Second Sight, a dangerous gift passed down through bloodlines. Before he could publish his work, he mysteriously died. Or, as the legend goes, his soul was taken.
