On this episode I'll share seven takeaways from my conversation with Dr. Hans Boersma on the previous episode, episode #62. We discussed his latest book Pierced by Love: Divine Reading with the Christian Tradition. These takeaways will provide an overview of our conversation which focused on the four movements of lectio divina - "attentive reading extended meditation, prayerful reflection, and silent resting" or contemplation. These practices provide a structured approach to focus on Jesus Christ through what is read, an experience that can change your life.
