Is just a fancy reverse proxy if we're being honest. HashiCorp announced the preview of Consul API Gateway during the day two keynote of HashiConf Global. Initially, I was feeling pretty sceptical about Consul entering such a crowded market. But as I considered the state of the market and the rationalization of ingress gateways, API gateways, and service meshes, I started to realize this might be a really canny move. Time will tell!
