Cute but hard to follow

After reading stories on my kindle, I assumed that this was another story that I would follow. I was wrong. However, after realizing that they were all short stories about the town of Avalon, I saw the connection. They were well written short stories that all had themes to help you improve your life or circumstances. Each story line had a great ending and highlighed why Avalon was such a great place to live

"An Avalon Christmas" by Darien Gee was a wonderful collection of short stories that took place in Avalon, Illinois. You will find from the read that this is a wonderful town to live in especially during the Christmas holiday season. These stories are of individuals lives and their dealings with the community during 'Christmas, a senior facility, anonymous giving and the Bah Humbug Club.' This author did a wonderful job with giving the reader a read that will lift your spirits of the Christmas holiday. Many of the stories brought tears along with some plenty of laughter. I think my favorite was the Bah Humbug story and I would truly recommend you pick up "A Avalon Christmas" to find out which one you like the best. I would recommend these stories because they are all beautifully written and these stories will be found so very heartwarming. So, with that being said I would recommend you to sit down and read about this special town in Avalon, Illinois.

This is such a heart warming book. After I first read this last Christmas, I bought the second book to this one and devoured it. I have since read this book again this Christmas and have bought it for four of my friends.

Touching Holiday Read

This is a delightful collection of short stories woven together to form a novel. The book begins and ends in the same setting--a senior living facility--and even though each story can stand alone, it is connected to the others by characters that appear in other stories or references to things that happen in other stories. The structure of the book brilliantly conveys the concept that even though it appears that we live separate lives, our lives are connected with other lives in ways we don't fully comprehend. Each story contains a touching example of the importance of relationships.
