This sermon is a high-altitude pass over the whole aside that is chapter 6 of Hebrews. It considers the target audience, the writer's complaint against them, his warning to them, his exhortation for them and his encouragement regarding them. These complaints, warnings, exhortations and encouragements are much needed today for they apply to the modern church in America as surely as they did in first century Jerusalem.
