The Enviro Show

An Earthy Enviro Show

Listen Later

Greetings Earthlings & Happy Every Day is Earth Day. Regardless of what lunacy is slithering around our so-called Federal Government and in the dwindling ranks of MAGA, the vast majority of the human race is still clinging to some semblance of sanity. The largest demonstration of that race was on the first Earth Day, April 22 1970 when "20 million Americans — at the time, 10% of the total population of the United States — [took] to the streets, parks and auditoriums to demonstrate against the impacts of 150 years of industrial development which had left a growing legacy of serious human health impacts." This year, on March 28 the second largest demonstration in history consisting of some 8 million souls returned to the streets on #NoKings Day 3, not just in support of the planet being plundered by the MAGA freak show but also in protest of that fascist freak show and its horrific agenda. Jeromie Whalen, school teacher and regional super-hero running for Massachusetts’ First Congressional District U.S. House of Reps seat now held by Richie Neal joins us.

Our Quote of the Week.

It is true that the Earth’s temperature does change a lot over millions of years. In fact, scientists believe that about 125,000 years ago it may have been even warmer than it is right now. What is disturbing, however, is that temperatures are rising much faster now than at any time in the past two million years.
