Dr. Janet Flaton is a board certified pediatrician specializing in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). After completing her residency at University of North Carolina Medical School (Chapel Hill), she served a rural community in a practice ranging from general to intensive care pediatrics. In 2003 she refined her practice to caring for children and teens with ADHD, and later adults. She founded the multi-disciplinary Flaton ADDept Center in 2009, providing empowerment and personal transformation through a combined holistic/traditional medical approach. She currently maintains a clinical practice and is a writing and a speaker. She is also engaged in producing online programs for a greater global community and for clinicians providing care for ADHD.
Her vision is of a global school beginning in daycare through secondary school cultivating the innate gifts and creativity culminating in community of young people with clarity of purpose, a sense of belonging and a collaborative solution for humanity.
Her commitment is that all people with ADHD are known by themselves and others for their unique and extraordinary contribution and leadership.
