Self improvement has become a billion dollar industry in the US, a sort of commercialized religion of self help, as we seek to improve ourselves and move past our struggles and failures into the life we dream of, or at least the life we want to portray. But can we change on our own, or do we need to bring others into the reality our story in order to find real freedom? 

An honest look into ourselves and disclosure of what we find in the context of safe relationships may involve risk, but the result just might be well worth it.
