With fantastic knowledge, experience, qualifications and reputation, Mauro was the perfect person for us to interview to give all our audience an insight into what Strength & Conditioning involves at a professional football club.
Mauro is an expert in curating strength training programs, football specific conditioning, injury prevention programs, recovery methods and GPS tracking systems. He has done his Masters in Physical Preparation for Sports Training and an Advanced Course in Strength & Conditioning.
In addition to NorthEast United in the Indian Super League and Fateh Hyderabad in the I-League 2nd Division, Mauro has worked in Portugal with Atletico CP and Sporting Lisbon, in New Zealand with Wanderers SC and currently in Ireland with Shelbourne FC. He has won tournaments, divisions and individual awards with Wanderers, Fateh Hyderabad and Atletico CP
Upon being asked on his ambitions for the future and his plans of returning to India, Mauro says his aim is to work in the Premier League one day and would return to India to work with the Indian national team if the opportunity arises.
