"An Inspiring Immigrant Story" Daniel Donovan Cork Man of the year 2025

Listen Later

I enjoyed interviewing Danny Donovan this week; his story is truly enlightening. Hope you enjoy our chat.
Danny’s 37-year career has taken him from a Building Superintendent to the Executive Director of Mechanical Maintenance and Operations/Energy for the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS). He has also served as an adjunct professor at City University of New York (CUNY) Building Performance Labs.

Over the years, Danny has lectured at various Department of Energy events throughout New York City, including at the Javits Center.

Notably, Danny was selected as one of only 10 individuals from across the USA to serve on a committee for the Department of Energy in Washington, D.C., as well as for CUNY’s Building Performance Lab. This group is responsible for developing a new online instructional course available to building operators in all 50 states.
In addition to his impressive career, Danny also started his school that offers preparatory classes for the NYC High Pressure Boiler Stationary Engineers’ practical exam.

Danny has been selected as the 2025 Cork Man of the Year, by the NY Co Cork Association and his celebration will be on March 8th in Antuns in Queens NY.
