Vancouver-based collective Rare Americans released their narrative-driven sophomore album Rare Americans 2 earlier this month. Its eye-catching music videos and uplifting spirit have captured the admiration from fans around the world as their community continues to grow, and so I spoke with frontman James Priestner to talk about the importance of a fanbase as an independent music group, as well as his writing process and real-world inspirations for music.
