Greg Abate is an internationally-acclaimed jazz  musician and composer who’s regarded by many as one of the best  post-bebop alto saxophone players in the world today.

Greg  was born in Fall River, Massachusetts and grew up in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in Boston, he started his career as lead alto saxophone with the Ray Charles Orchestra and later played tenor saxophone with the Artie Shaw Orchestra.


Greg  is an adjunct professor of Jazz Studies at Rhode Island College, a  Conn-Selmer Instrument Company jazz clinician, and a 2016 inductee into the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame.
