Today's message as an introduction from me, Megan Stalnaker. I figured on 12 episodes in, I should introduce myself. And, thank you for listening. I am a life/parenting coach and an SEO digital marketer by trade. My mission in coaching is to help my clients learn how consciously live their happiest and most fulfilling life in radical abundance and acceptance of their deepest needs and values. And, I do this primarily through the deconstruction of the patterns they are living.

During our sessions, I work with clients 1:1 to disrupt the thoughts, and conditioning that have stalled  their ability to live their most beautiful life in alignment with their higher purpose. Most importantly, my clients are in a safe space with me. I am truly passionate about coaching others and I desire nothing more, than to listen to, and respond to, my clients’ deepest needs by creating a safe space where we discuss their truths, obstacles, hardships and trauma. My coaching style incorporates a multidisciplinary modality that includes breathwork to enhance a mind, body, spiritual practice that enables clients to thoroughly inventory and eradicate the thoughts, patterns and experiences that prevent their deeper sense of well-being.

What my coaching style is NOT
My coaching style is NOT a ‘one size fits all’ approach. I understand that every person I guide is gifted, whole and uniquely their own person. My coaching style is NOT a manifestation-based, ‘dream it, believe’ or law of attraction,  approach although I give credit to the importance of affirmations and incantations. I think what is vital to healing in all forms is awareness, and that’s just education of one’s self – personal development. Getting to know yourself better.  As the ancient Greek Delphic Maxim states: "Know Thyself." It is truly fundamental in creating lasting change.

So what else do I believe? I believe that every person carries an emotional blueprint that must be excavated before they can elevate into living their fullest life. And, what I mean by this is take cognitive behavioral therapy, for example.  CBT is helpful in establishing quick positive behavioral fixes—that work...for awhile. But with conscious coaching, we go deeper to excavate, the emotional blueprint, the core issues from childhood, recognizing that most of our unmet emotional needs, dysfunction, depression or our reaction to present day triggers are actually referencing something from our past, something historical, often unconscious, that’s not yet resolved. Now that said, I don’t take my clients back to stay in their past; every meeting together is an iterative process, meaning we excavate and elevate in each session, so the benefits are felt from the start. 

Now one quick note on my parenting coaching practice.  First and foremost, I am a mother of two and I am profoundly committed to teaching conscious parenting. My coaching style is centered on the core principles of the Conscious Parenting Coaching Method, founded by Dr. Shefali Tsabary, which is a connection and conscious based approach to parenting that is in stark opposition to the punitive based, threatening and fear based approach that often leaves both parents and children feeling anxious, out of control, disappointed and disconnected from one another. This is not to say that conscious parenting is without limits and boundaries, that is not the case, and often this misnomer with conscious parenting. Most conscious parenting practitioners believe, myself included, that the parent-child relationship is essentially a symbiotic relationship, not based on a hierarchy, where the communication between parent and child is fluid and unabated in love and connection.
