We can discern patterns in Scripture of how God interacts with His people - and it is amazing that He will let them wander in sin for a while. He knows that when they hit rock bottom, they will begin to call out for Him again. Such is the pattern in the Book of Judges. In one season, when God determined to rescue His people from the hand of their enemy, He opened a door of hope through a married couple who would be given a baby boy. That boy’s name would be Samson. When an angel arrived to deliver the astounding news, the history of Israel began to shift, and one of the most astounding lives anywhere in the Bible began to take shape. The life of Samson is a shocking set of twists and turns which ultimately lead to God’s victory over his earthly enemies.
