Sasha Gutiérrez Montaño is an operatic soprano from Cali, Colombia, now living in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated with honors from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she and her crew started hosting concerts on her stoop in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. This led to creating The Opera Next Door, an independent opera company that aims to share high-quality, immersive productions for new, diverse audiences in unconventional neighborhood spaces.
